Shipping Clerk (Malta)

Our client is a specialist importer and distributor enjoying a strong market position in the trading industry. They are currently seeking to recruit self motivated and confident Shipping Executive to join their team.

Preferably you will have previous experience working within the freight forwarding industry and be conversant in compiling customs documents using customs import systems. This will include managing and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments and shipping data including weight, charges and space availability whilst completing shipping reports. You will also be responsible for the shipping log in ensuring that all data correspondence is kept updated respecting shipping procedures. You will be working closely with colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations to meet deadlines and maintain visibility and control through all the phases of the journey.

You will have an A'level standard of education with a willingness to learn. You will also demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills as well as a strong command of English and Maltese. Being hard working, meticulous and have a ‘hands on’ approach is important.
