Our client, operating in the marine technical field, is looking for a Technical Assistant to assist the Technical Director in the daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating technical requests/requirements, analysing them, and categorizing accordingly
- Assisting with drafting of reports for customers
- Assisting with analysing engine parameters and diagnosing possible engine issues
- Assisting with Reviewing of engineer’s service reports
- Provide suggestions to help improve technical processes.
- Assisting with creating training documents to be published and used in training school.
- Carryout training on turbocharger overhauls in workshop and onboard vessels
- Providing assistance onboard to engineers of their turbocharger works as required.
- Participate in projects and pursuit working meetings to provide technical input.
- Participate in internal meetings and activities and provide support as may be requested and/or delegated.
- Support knowledge management processes within the project.
Requirements
- Previous experience in marine engines or turbochargers is a must
- Candidates having relevant engineering qualifications are preferred
- Knowledge of turbocharger principles, product ranges and repair techniques with the ability to produce reports would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills in English
Must be able to relocate to Malta
