Procurement and Logistics Officer

  Central Malta  |  €22,000 - €30,000 Annually 

We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and talented Procurement and Logistics Officer to join a well-established company in Malta. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible to:

  • Receive and meticulously review purchase requests, ensuring compliance with established procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for smooth material request processing.
  • Coordinate with shipping partners for efficient shipment bookings and handle port charges for incoming materials.
  • Communicate proactively with requestors, providing ETA for ordered materials and addressing any arising issues.
  • Collaborate with haulers and transportation partners to achieve timely and cost-effective goods delivery.
  • Liaise with Stores personnel to ensure optimal storage availability.
  • Manage logistics operations for efficiency, minimizing delays in material delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, orders, and shipment details.
  • Ensure strict compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement and/or logistics, showcasing your expertise in the field.
  • Exceptional communication skills in written and spoken English, Maltese is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities, ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures and port operations is advantageous.
  • Preference for applicants familiar with Digital Inventory Management Systems.
