We have been made aware of scammers impersonating Konnekt by using our company name, the names of our recruiters, and mimicking email addresses. These scams often involve fraudulent communications via Whatsapp, Telegram and email, offering jobs.
Key Details to Identify Scammers:
- Telephone Numbers: Scammers typically use phone numbers with foreign prefixes (not Maltese). All Konnekt recruiters have dedicated work telephone numbers.
- Email Addresses: Scammers replicate Konnekt email addresses but cannot provide valid work emails associated with our domain. Our emails will always be sent out using an @konnekt.com domain and no other derivative of that.
- Job Details: Fraudulent offers usually lack specificity and fail to align with jobs listed on our official website - https://www.konnekt.com
- Requests for Payment: Konnekt will NEVER request payment for services. Charging candidates is illegal in Malta.
What to Do if You Suspect a Scam: If contacted by someone claiming to represent Konnekt, we recommend asking the following questions:
- Can you provide your work telephone number and work email address?
- Can you share a link to the job posting on the Konnekt website?
- Can you provide detailed information about the job, industry, and working hours?
If the answers are unclear or seem suspicious:
- Do not engage further.
- Do not provide any personal or financial information.
