Accountant (French Speaking)

  Central Malta  |  €30,000 - €35,000 Annually 

Our client, operating within the wholesale and distribution industry is seeking to recruit a French speaking Accountant. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and end of year processes
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other data requested by the authorities
  • Mentoring and supervising accounts officers
  • Overseeing the subsidiary ledgers and other financial records
  • Liaising with auditors and other third parties
  • Assisting the head of department and the rest of the team as may be required 
  • Monitoring and updating bank balances, debtor and creditor positions as well as other data
  • Any other duty which may be required from time to time

Requirements

  • Possess previous experience in a similar role within an international setting
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Possess excellent intrapersonal skills
  • Fluency in both English and French, both written and verbal
  • Travelling will be required

Education and Experience

  • Fully qualified or actively studying ACCA
