Chief Financial Officer ( CFO )

A reputable and renowned client of ours specialised in the FMCG sector, is looking to onboard a Chief Financial Officer to join their team. The designated person will be working closely with the CEO and Directors, and responsibilities are as follows:

Duties:

• Oversee the entire finance preparation process; monitoring, and reviewing of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Develop and deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, as well as the Board of Directors
• Oversee and optimise cash flow management to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency throughout the Group
• Support business planning, investment analysis, and strategic decision-making with clear and concise financial insights
• Be the main person responsible for leading and managing the finance function across the Group of companies
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
• Build and lead a motivated, high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence throughout
• Work closely and retain/foster strong relationships with banks, auditors, and external advisors as required
• Continuously seek new opportunities to leverage technology and automation in financial processes
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar senior finance role, ideally within a group structure environment
• Proven experience in budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and team leadership is a must
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and ideally in Maltese
• Passion for technology and its applications, and the ability to improve financial management and reporting processes

Education and Experience

• Must be a fully qualified and locally warranted finance professional
