A reputable client of ours, a Group of Entities operating primarily within the Yachting / Maritime Industry is seeking to recruit a Chief Financial Officer to join their growing business and team of professionals:
Duties:
- Setting up the finance structure, and ensuring that appropriate controls, policies, and procedures are in place.
- Overseeing and managing outsourced finance and accounting functions, as applicable.
- Be actively involved in the financial operations of multiple entities within the group, and responsible for the quarterly management accounts and board information
- Preparation of timely and accurate financial budgets, cash-flow projections, and group consolidation figures.
- Performing analysis (with trends and forecasts) and recommend areas for potential cost reduction throughout the company.
- Taking an active role in related mergers and acquisitions, and investment opportunities that the business may benefit from.
- Working closely with the CEO and Executive Management to develop and carry out the financial strategy and overall strategic plan for the company
- Assisting with and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements is aligned, liaising with local regulators accordingly
- Liaising with external auditors for year-end audits
- Involvement in ad-hoc projects as required
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years local experience working within in a similar role at an Executive level
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Impeccable management and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and part of a team
Education and Experience
- Must be a qualified and warranted Accountant
