Client Accounting Senior Executive

A reputable client of ours specialised in the Insurance sector is looking to onboard a Client Accounting Senior Executive to join their growing team of professionals: The designated person will be reporting to the Head of Accounting and responsibilities are as follows:

Duties:

• Oversee and take full responsibility for all client accounting, regulatory, treasury and other company administration issues, 
• Ensuring all deadlines for financial, regulatory and Board reporting are met, and presenting all financial, tax and treasury matters in board meetings
• Liaising regularly and actively with various stakeholders and regulators as required 
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and any other financial reports that may be requested by the client from time to time
• Ensure investment of client funds in accordance with Board instructions/strategy, including co- ordination of opening/closing of accounts, minimisation of currency and credit risk exposures
• Prepare management accounts and statutory financial statements, including input to and maintenance of the accounting records
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (GAPEE, GAPSME, IFRS,etc.)
• Preparation and filing of relevant tax returns, as required (e.g. IPT, etc.), as well as quarterly and annual insurance returns to the MFSA

Requirements

• Candidates with a strong Insurance background, and experience with IFRS17 will be given preference
• Ability to maintain high quality work in a fast paced and changing environment
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Morning st have local experience and be based in Malta

Education and Experience

• Must be fully qualified or at the final stages of being so
