Cost Controller

A client we work closely with is looking to recruit a Cost Controller to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide cost of sales data to key personnel, including the Management Accountant, Head Chef, and Restaurant Manager, to help control expenses and determine appropriate menu pricing
  • Establish and manage effective F&B cost control systems to maximize profitability while maintaining quality and service standards.
  • Conduct daily restaurant and bar checks.
  • Coordinate with purchasing teams and chefs to optimize procurement and cost accuracy.
  • Prepare and share F&B variance analysis reports.
  • Implement and maintain inventory software within set deadlines.
  • Track food and beverage performance using daily sales and cost reports.
  • Verify the accuracy of daily revenue records, including covers and average bill amounts.
  • Identify weaknesses in cost control measures and suggest improvements.
  • Perform monthly stocktakes and calculate inventory values.
  • Ensure smooth operation of POS systems.
  • Review and verify voids, discounts, complimentary sales, and settlements in the POS system.
  • Conduct ad hoc spot checks when necessary

Requirements

  • Previous local work experience in cost control
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
