Credit Control Administrator

  Central Malta  |  €20,000 - €24,000 Annually 

A company operating within the FMCG industry is currently on the lookout for a Credit Control Admin

Duties include: 

  • Open new accounts and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor clients' credit status and report potential issues to the credit control department.
  • Post and reconcile client payments, ensuring timely invoice payments.
  • Maintain strong communication with the Sales and Delivery teams for smooth information flow.
  • Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Issue statements and credit notes accurately and on time.
  • Keep precise records of all credit control activities, including payments.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies for accurate financial reporting.
  • Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by reviewing payment history and financial details.
  • Prepare and distribute aged debtor reports for internal review and management decisions.
  • Escalate problematic accounts and recommend debt recovery actions to Management for prompt resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and data protection laws where applicable.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes, including account reconciliations and audits as needed.
  • Handle customer and internal correspondence professionally while maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Support the Finance Department with administrative and financial tasks as required.
  • Follow all written and verbal instructions from direct superiors.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Attend company training programs as instructed, during or outside office hours.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management in line with the role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of local experience in credit control or accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English, Maltese would be considered an asset
