The Role & Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Direction: You will create and implement financial strategies that align with the company's long-term to join their professional team. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth expertise in cost accounting, financial oversight, and system integration, with a solid background in manufacturing, industrial, &/or aerospace industries. This key position will drive the company's financial strategy and operations, focusing on scalability, operational efficiency, and compliance as the company continues to grow.
Cost Accounting & Financial Statements: You will oversee cost accounting operations, including managing inventory valuation, analyzing cost of goods sold (COGS), and reporting on cost variances. Ensure accurate project/job costing and maintain financial systems in ERP/MRP.
Inventory Oversight & Controls: Manage the inventory processes and establish rigorous internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and inventory management.
Systems & IT Optimization: Oversee the implementation and ongoing optimization of ERP/MRP/MES systems, particularly Sage Intacct. Lead the shift from paper-based systems to more efficient digital workflows.
Internal Controls, HR & Regulatory Compliance: You will develop and execute internal controls to meet GAAP, IFRS, and ASPE standards. Oversee audits and ensure the company remains audit-ready year-round.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning: Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights to help guide business priorities and decision-making.
Intercompany Policies & Process Development: Develop and enforce policies regarding intercompany transactions and transfer pricing. Ensure teams are properly trained on intercompany controls and financial processes.
Leadership & Staff Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance on financial operations and supporting professional development.
Stakeholder Interaction: Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions. Ensure senior leadership receives timely and accurate financial reports.
