A client of ours specialising in the Manufacturing sector, is looking to onboard a seasoned Finance Manager to join their team of professionals; The designated person will have a team of people reporting to them, and they will be working closely with Senior Management:
Duties:
- Present financial performance reports to the Board and to the CEO.
- Analyse the financial and non-financial data to drive insight on performance and influence the site process managers to make performance improvements.
- Ensure the timely production of all budgets, management information and reports to meet Group requirements.
- Assist the Management team in interpreting and understanding financial / performance trends.
- Drive financial accountability by holding the respective staff accountable against the financial and standard cost targets.
- Provide support for business improvement projects (e.g. operational excellence, waste management).
- Continually drive the performance of the finance team through implementing and demonstrating good business practices/behaviours.
- Overall responsibility for the P&L process, including sign off on the month end close position, and overall responsibility for the annual budgeting process
- Monitor and adapt internal financial control procedures as business processes evolve.
- Operation and continuous improvement of good internal controls including responsibility for the completion of the annual CSA returns
- Ensure the effective administration of costing systems and procedures.
- Develop and test contingency arrangements in the event of systems loss/unavailability of key staff.
- Ensure the maintenance of records to safeguard the Company’s assets and the integrity of the profit centre accounts.
- Be the primary point of contact on external audits, liaising accordingly with auditors and being the main pint of contact
Requirements
- Cost Accounting knowledge and experience
- Proven track record of working successfully across functional teams
- Proven track record of business improvement and managing change
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Education and Experience
- Must be fully qualified through ACCA or equivalent, and be locally warranted
