Our client, in the telecoms industry, is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Financial Accountant.
This position, reporting to the Finance Manager, offers an opportunity to contribute to our Finance Reporting team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end journal entries for cost of sales and operating costs, manage accruals and prepayments, and conduct intercompany reconciliations.
- Assist with uploading monthly revenue bill run onto the accounting system.
- Reconcile Infrastructure project costings and elucidate variances to budget and prior periods.
- Review, prepare, and maintain monthly management accounts.
- Oversee monthly group consolidation and shareholders’ reporting template.
- Handle quarterly bank reporting, including performance commentary.
- Aid in interim and year-end audit procedures and preparation of annual financial statements.
- Collaborate with auditors as needed.
- Assist in preparing quarterly VAT returns and other statutory tax reporting.
- Provide ad hoc support to the Finance Manager and Financial Controller.
Requirements
- Hold a University degree in Accounting or equivalent ACCA qualification.
- Proficient in IFRS is an asset
- Expertise in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate multitasking abilities and effective time management.
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience
