Our client requires a Group Financial Controller to see the financial operations for all their hospitality outlets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective resource management
The Role
- You will be part of the Senior Management Team
- You will manage cash flow, forecast needs, and alert management to deficiencies
- Liaising with auditors and ensuring compliance with tax and licensing requirements
- Monitoring and evaluating internal controls, approving large invoices, and designing effective processes through collaboration with managers.
- Budgeting responsibilities involve analyzing historical spending, identifying trends, and reporting variances to senior management for decision-making.
- Risk management is a key focus, requiring identification and mitigation of financial risks, addressing process weaknesses, and enhancing asset safeguarding through training and improved controls.
- You will compile and certifies accurate financial reports, conduct detailed analysis for directors, and ensure compliance with current practices.
- You will be responsible for operational efficiency, evaluating staff utilization, and identifying cost-saving opportunities in collaboration with senior management.
- You will do timely and accurate external reporting is essential, along with assisting external auditors and supporting tax preparation.
Requirements
- Preferably be fully qualified with ACCA or equivalent
- Have extensive experience in hospitality financial operations, particularly in hotels and restaurants
- You must be proficient in software like Microsoft Excel, OPERA Materials Control, Symphony PMS, Oracle Cloud PMS
- Have proven experience in leadership
- Expertise in financial compliance, auditing, and operational efficiency within the hospitality industry is required
