Head of Investments and Portfolio Management

A reputable client of sours specialising in Financial Services, is currently looking to onboard a Head of Investments and Portfolio Management to join their team of professionals:

Duties:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives, identifying new market opportunities and optimising existing channels to drive growth
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the Investments team fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, training, and performance management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and institutional clients, understanding their needs, providing tailored investment solutions, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction; This also includes the management and review of client portfolios
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends, client preferences, and emerging opportunities, using insights to inform strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with both the research and the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns for investment products, ensuring consistent communication and brand positioning across all distribution channels
  • Ensure all distribution activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and company policies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices, also ensuring that team members continuously follow best practise and regulatory requirements when servicing clients
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of distribution strategies. Regularly reviewing and analysing sales data, client feedback, and market trends to inform continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with other departments, including Research, Marketing, Compliance, and Operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to client service and business development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the investment management/banking/finance industry
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
