Our client, in the Hospitality industry, is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their finance team.
The selected candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting practices and work closely with the Financial Controller to assist with financial reporting, statements, and team support.
Responsibilities:
- Process general ledger entries, accounts payable, and receivable transactions.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and monitoring deadlines.
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
- Supervise and guide team members to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Provide necessary documentation for audits and assist during audit processes.
- Perform other ad-hoc reporting duties as needed.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or in the process of obtaining ACCA certification.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role (preferred).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in English.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships with effective communication
Education and Experience
- Actively studying ACCA or at initial stages of obtaining an Accounting qualification
