Senior Financial Analyst

  Central Malta  |  €45,000 - €50,000 Annually 

Our client, in the financial and asset services industry is looking to recruit an Senior Financial Analyst to join their Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze financial data to support business goals and objectives.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and liaising with stakeholders across the Group.
  • Track and report on revenue streams, costs, and sales team performance.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Calculate partner commissions and analyze client revenue versus costs.
  • Prepare and manage reports comparing actual costs and revenues to budget.
  • Enhance and automate accounting and reporting processes.
  • Oversee cash flow reporting and reconciliations.
  • Develop reports on liquidity and working capital requirements.
  • Manage monthly closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Produce monthly management accounts and annual financial statements (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Coordinate with auditors and maintain a robust control environment.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards and industry regulations.
  • Support liquidity management and foreign exchange operations.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as an accountant in an international company.
  • Proven experience with monthly budgeting processes and the production of revenue and performance reports.
  • Experience with reporting software and best practices in financial reporting.
  • CPA certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience in financial consolidations is highly advantageous.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and other GAAPs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Confident, self-sufficient, and a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Strong team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification.
