Senior Internal Audit Manager

Our client, a leading financial institution is seeking to recruit a Senior Internal Audit Manager to join their internal audit function. The selected person will have the following responsibilities:

• Assisting in the development and executive of internal audit plans
• Participating in meetings with internal stakeholders to better understand the processes and procedures, internal controls as well as risk areas
• Assisting in maintaining and implementing the audit strategy and ensure this is in line with the organization's objectives and other professional standards
• Preparing audit programs as well as reviewing of documents, executing testing and drafting of reports
• Mapping of processes and confirm effectiveness of internal controls
• Following up with management on audit issues 
• Preparing detailed reports that communicate findings, recommendations and action plans
• Supervising and mentoring junior team members
• Keeping abreast with industry trends, regulatory changes and other related processes that may directly impact the company
• Assisting with responding to regulatory and external audit requests and inquiries 
• Assisting other departments with any ad hoc assignments which may arise from time to time

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role preferably within Financial Services
• Hold excellent intrapersonal skills
• Possess excellent analytical skills and a high level of integrity
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team

Education and Experience

• Possess a Bachelors Degree in Financial Services, ACCA or related qualification
