TAX Compliance Senior

Our client within the financial sector is looking for a TAX Compliance Senior to join their growing team 

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the tax compliance process for a dedicated portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Offer expert guidance and support to clients on various tax-related matters and queries.
• Coordinate with the Inland Revenue Department to address and resolve compliance-related issues.
• Prepare and review tax calculations, ensuring timely and accurate submission of tax returns online.
• Manage the process of income tax refunds, including the registration of shareholders as needed.
• Draft and review documentation for dividend distributions, tax refunds, and adjustment forms.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, providing oversight and feedback to maintain quality standards.
• Contribute to specialized tax advisory projects, offering insights and innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Have a good working knowledge of Malta’s tax law, tax accounting and the allocation of income to the various tax account;
• Have around 3 years of prior relevant experience
• Have a good command of the tax provisions related to company valuations and of factors affecting the tax residency status of taxpayers

Education and Experience

• Ideally be fully qualified Accountant
