Academic Registrar

  Central Malta

Our client who specializes in the Education sector is looking for an Academic Registrar. Your roles and responsibilities will include: 

  • Maintain accurate, confidential student records and oversee their organization
  • Ensure strict compliance with data protection and privacy regulations
  • Optimize registration processes and policies to facilitate seamless student enrollment each academic year
  • Support the review and revision of academic policies as needed
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Registrar and academic departments to create effective course schedules, considering faculty availability, classroom resources, and student demand
  • Manage examination scheduling in alignment with academic calendars
  • Oversee graduation ceremonies and ensure all degree requirements are met
  • Facilitate the issuance of diplomas, transcripts, and diploma supplements
  • Partner with academic advisors to monitor student progress and provide support
  • Assist students with academic appeals, ensuring adherence to institutional policies
  • Build strong working relationships with admissions and financial offices to deliver integrated student services
  • Collaborate across departments to enhance the student experience and improve operational efficiency
  • Ensure academic programs align with accreditation standards
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance measures
  • Stay informed on advancements in academic administration, including emerging trends, technologies, and regulations
  • Provide training and support to staff on academic systems and institutional policies

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing technologies
  • Experience in academic administration, ideally within a university registrar’s office
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
