Administrator (1 year contract)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrator to provide essential administrative support to the engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating various administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of engineering projects, and assisting engineers with daily tasks. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong ability to multitask, and a keen interest in supporting technical teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Assist engineers with day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, managing documentation, and handling correspondence.
  • Project Coordination: Support the engineering team in planning and tracking project timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Ensure that all project-related documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
  • Document Management: Maintain and organize engineering documents, such as blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and project files. Ensure proper version control and secure storage of all sensitive information.
  • Communication Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the engineering team and other departments or external vendors. Facilitate effective communication to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize team meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes. Follow up on action items and ensure that they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Data Entry & Analysis: Input and maintain data related to engineering projects, such as resource allocation, budget tracking, and progress reports. Analyze data to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Compliance & Safety: Assist in ensuring that all engineering activities comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Support the team in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Provide additional administrative support to the engineering team as needed, including travel arrangements, expense reporting, and other clerical duties.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, documentation and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent Problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to understand technical jargon

Education and Experience

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing / engineering environment
  • Relevant educational qualification.
