One of our clients operating within the Medical & HealthCare industry is searching for a Pharmacy Assistant to join their tight-knit team. The chosen candidate will be assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications and other pharmaceuticals, as well as managing the reception area for GPs and other consultants.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers
- Answering telephone calls and taking appointments for attending doctors
- Guiding clients to the respective consulting rooms
- Handling doctor and clinic fees at reception, and managing the cash register
- Restocking shelves with medicines and other pharmaceutical supplies, including cosmetic products
- Inputting of inventory into the system
- Checking and pricing of products
- Periodical checking of expiry dates and the necessary stock rotation
- Ensuring the pharmacy is always organised
- Any other duties as may be assigned, from time to time, in relation to the running of a pharmacy.
Candidates must be able to work in shifts from Monday to Friday alternating morning/afternoon shifts
Morning Shift - 8am - 2pm
Afternoon shift 2pm - 8pm
(split shift - split over a 5 days week including Sunday off)
Requirements
- Candidates must already be in Malta, with the legal right of working in Malta
- Fluency in Maltese and English is a must
- Able to provide excellent customer service
- Able to work on own initiative
- Able to work in a team
Education and Experience
- Prior front office experience is mandatory, ideally within a similar industry
- Prior experience in a similar role is an asset
- Prior experience in Shireburn is an asset, although trainig will be provided
- Computer literate
