Hotel General Manager (Gozo)

Our client is seeking Hotel General Manager to engage in the formation of the staff compliment and then oversee the hotel's day-to-day operations, sales, and marketing and mentor and manage a sizeable team.  

The Role

• To build key partner networks and distribution channels 
• Co-create and action local marketing plan to raise the industry and local market awareness 
• Source ancillary service partners, 
• Create a local hotel network  
• Establish standards operating procedures (SOP) to support the delivery of service level agreements (SLA’s) within all hotel departments, 
• Supplier onboarding 
• Co-creation SOP with suppliers 
• Product set up using pre-established guidelines in preparation for opening 
• System training ( PMS / CRM etc ) 
• Monitor and maximize the profitability of all departments. 
• Take an active role in forecasting, budgeting and reporting for the hotel. 
• Staff selection, induction and training (including a pre-opening team ) and to continue developing an effective, cohesive & competent team. 
• To embrace and focus on the highest levels of quality with respect to both the hard and soft aspects of the business.

Requirements

• Have previous experience in a similar role
• Be a strong leader who is assertive yet approachable
• Be willing to live in or commute to Gozo
• Have proven experience in achieving sales and business KPI's
• Be part of the management team

Education and Experience

• Preferably have a tertiary degree &/or MBA in hospitality
