Senior Risk Analyst

  Central Malta  |  up to €35,000 Annually 

Our client, a leading financial institution is seeking to recruit a Senior Risk Analyst. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Conducting analysis with regards to risk areas and support analytical work within the department
  • Maintaining and enhancing liquidity, credit and market risk management models and preparing analysis based on simulations and stress testing
  • Developing, implementing and updating of risk and econometric models, risk management tools, risk metrics and other analytical models
  • Drafting and reviewing of internal policies and procedures and ensure these are aligned with internal processes and updated regulations
  • Contributing to the achievement of objectives as formalized in periodic risk plans and the implementation of risk management projects 
  • Keeping abreast with related regulations and standards
  • Assisting with any other duty which may be required from time to time

Requirements

  • Minimum three years working experience in a similar role
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools especially Microsoft Excel
  • Possess strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Possess excellent intrapersonal skills

Education and Experience

  • Hold a Degree in Financial Services, Statistics or equivalent
