Operations Compliance Executive

  Central Malta  |  €36,000 - €38,000 Annually 

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Compliance Executive to support both operations and compliance within a fund management environment. 

This role provides exposure to fund operations, regulatory compliance, and risk management, requiring strong analytical skills, multitasking abilities, and a keen interest in financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with fund administrators to reconcile shadow share registries, verify commissions for Investment Advisors, and assist with NAV calculations, cash flow monitoring, and corporate actions.
  • Prepare management reports on AUM, generate third-party reports for external agencies, and interact with IFAs, investors, and external auditors to address requests and due diligence requirements.
  • Organize and administer Risk and Valuation Committee meetings, support operational due diligence on service providers, and assist the COO in resolving operational issues with administrators, custodians, and brokers.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance policies in line with local and EU regulations Conduct compliance reviews, support regulatory reporting, and maintain compliance records.
  • Support AML/KYC due diligence on clients and counterparties, assist in internal audits, risk assessments, and regulatory inspections. Provide compliance guidance to internal teams and contribute to compliance training initiatives..

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience in fund management operations and/or compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of EU regulations, including MIFID II, AIFMD, SFDR, GDPR, EMIR, and DORA will be an asset.
  • Team-oriented mindset, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
