Senior Compliance Analyst

Our client within the Financial Services industry is looking to recruit a Senior Compliance Analyst to join their team.

Main responsibilities : 

  • Conduct in-depth investigations into flagged client accounts, leveraging your expertise to uncover and assess potential compliance risks.
  • Carry out thorough KYC, CDD, EDD, SOW, and AML/CTF assessments, playing a key role in safeguarding against financial crime.
  • Review and evaluate high-value deposit and withdrawal requests that exceed established thresholds, making informed decisions that balance regulatory requirements with client experience.
  • Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies, clearly outlining findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Use AI-driven analytics tools to examine large datasets, identify high-risk individuals or entities, and strategically prioritise investigations.
  • Perform client screenings against PEP lists, sanctions registers, and adverse media to detect and manage potential high-risk relationships.
  • Partner with operational teams to offer expert insights on AML/CTF, fraud prevention, and customer authentication practices.
  • Assess current compliance frameworks and procedures, offering strategic recommendations to enhance risk controls and regulatory adherence.
  • Compile and submit accurate quarterly and annual AML/CTF reports to regulatory bodies within required timelines.
  • Address compliance queries from internal teams and senior management, delivering clear, actionable, and risk-aware guidance.

Requirements

  • Bring 5+ years of relevant experience in a compliance role, ideally within financial services or online trading.
  • Have deep knowledge of AML/CTF regulations, fraud prevention strategies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in writing and speaking.
  • Approach your work with integrity, accountability, and a strong ethical compass.
  • Have experience with/or a keen interest in leveraging AI tools in a compliance setting.

Education and Experience

  • Hold a degree in finance, economics, law, criminology, risk management, data science, business, or a related field.
