A client of ours specialising in the Financial sector, is looking to onboard a Senior Compliance Manager to be part of their growing team of professionals:
Duties:
Oversee the regulatory compliance of the company and clients with current and new regulations, including knowledge of Solvency II Directive, Insurance Distribution Directive, and General Data
Working with the local compliance team members and engaging with consultants /service providers to assist in compliance framework development and provision of compliance solutions for clients.
Scanning for regulatory and legislative changes impacting the Company and its clients, formulating recommendations for enhancement to ensure compliance with new and revised regulations
Review, update and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, internal checklists and template documents to maintain compliance with Malta regulatory requirements and International requirements
Preparation of Board and Committee Packs in relation to Risk and Compliance, and presentation thereof.
Overseeing the complete and accurate submission of new client enquiry forms, annual client review forms, routine monitoring and compliance checklists
Coordination, preparation and submission of regulatory returns such as the SFCR, RSR, ORSA,
Maintenance of the Company's clients’ Customer Risk Assessments, ongoing file reviews and client onboarding in respect of all financial crime compliance, in liaison with the MLRO.
Oversee the conduct of the compliance monitoring programme, as well as compliance systems development
Provide training to all staff including Board level and specifically in relation to Regulatory Compliance developments requirements
Assist with recruitment and oversight of compliance resources (both internal and external)
Requirements
3-5 years’ experience in a similar compliance role within the insurance industry
Must have a high level of computer literacy
Excellent verbal and communication skills in English, and commendable presentation skills
Strong regulatory knowledge, with strong preference given to Maltese and EU knowledge
Must be PQd by the MFSA or eligible to be
Education and Experience
Must be in possession of a recognised and related Insurance or Compliance qualification
