The Planner & Sales Data Analyst Executive will be responsible for analysing sales data, creating actionable insights, and managing planning processes to support the company’s business objectives. This role involves developing interim planning tools using BI and Excel during the ERP implementation phase and transitioning these processes into the ERP system.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales forecasts and production plans based on historical data and market trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize production, storage, and delivery operations to ensure product freshness and efficiency.
- Gather and analyse data from internal and external sources, including merchandisers, category outlets, and national/international statistics.
- Identify distribution gaps and channel development opportunities within the product portfolio.
- Conduct profitability analysis for key accounts and recommend corrective actions for underperforming clients.
- Create and maintain data models, central dashboards, and databases to support decision-making processes.
- Perform regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity across all reports.
- Prepare and present data-driven insights through reports, presentations, and visual dashboards.
- Provide actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders to drive business improvements.
- Analyse competitor pricing strategies and propose pricing alignments for all products.
- Continuously evaluate and improve planning tools and processes to align with business needs.
- Design, develop, and deliver customized reports to meet the organization’s needs, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Valid driving license.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems or involvement in ERP implementation is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Maltese will be considered an asset.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting and presentations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in business analysis, data integrity, and creating dashboards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively share data findings and insights.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
