Automation Systems Specialist

Our esteemed and globally recognized client is expanding their team and seeking an Automation Systems Specialist to join them.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of automatic inspection and personalization software and hardware systems.
  • Attain expert-level knowledge of relevant systems and processes.
  • Design adaptation models and support Quality Control in creating training sets or related materials.
  • Research and recommend advanced technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Manage data, generate reports for analysis, and fulfil customer requirements.
  • Safeguard customer databases to ensure the integrity of personalization processes according to client standards.
  • Support New Product Introduction and R&D trials.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing technical support.
  • Proactively communicate daily operational issues and project progress.
  • Ensure operators maximize machine performance.

Performance Targets:

  • Achieve objectives for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Right First Time (RFT), and On-Time In Full (OTIF).
  • Address and resolve customer non-conformities.

Requirements:

  • Educational qualification equivalent to MQF Level 5 in IT or Electrical Engineering.
  • Advanced computer literacy, with expertise in object-oriented scripting (preferably C#) and hardware configuration.
  • Proficiency in automated inspection systems and related automation.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Familiarity with security printing materials and processes.
  • Ability to self-learn new technologies and techniques.
  • Fluency in Maltese & English.
