Automation Technician

  South of Malta  |  up to €35,000 Annually 

One of our clients within the manufacturing industry is looking for a Automation Specialist to join their team. 

Duties include:

  • Serve as a technical reference for the team in fault-finding within machine sequential logic.
  • Lead sizeable projects related to machines, processes, and infrastructure that enhance QCD and HSE performance, including design, procurement, build, installation, validation, and commissioning.
  • Provide technical training to Maintenance and Operations teams.
  • Ensure smooth communication through handovers, written reports, and presentations.
  • Create technical documentation for new projects, installations, and modifications.
  • Liaise with OEMs and suppliers for project support and updates.
  • Lead Acceptance Tests 
  • Advocate and implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of major breakdowns, assess progress, and report on completion timeframes.
  • Promote and apply Total Productive Maintenance and Continuous Improvement principles.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in electronics fault finding
  • Proven expertise in programmable logic controller
  • Proven experience within a production and manufacturing environment

Education and Experience

  • Electronic Engineering Certification
