The BMS – Field Commissioning Technician is required as support within the building automation sector. The Field Commissioning Technician will be responsible for the onsite testing and commissioning of various field devices and systems pertaining to BMS as well as HVAC systems and plant utilities.
Your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Execute site testing and commissioning activities for BMS equipment, various filed devices and systems in order for the proper operation of each, fulfilling the functional design specification
- Troubleshoot and solve any issues encountered during such activities
- Maintain regular communication with the Sector Lead, providing daily updates on work progress
- Adhere to the established schedule set by the Sector Lead and be willing to work overtime if required
- Adhere to and abide by health and safety procedures for safe work practices as set out by the company procedures
- Keep cleanliness and housekeeping within designated areas of operations
- Manage documentation tasks related to official progress reporting to the Sector Lead
- Support the Sector Lead, or Team Leader in planning and scheduling activities
- Collaborate and establish effective working relationships with stakeholders, external parties, and clients as necessary
- Ensure daily the Sector Lead targets are achieved and proactively address any issues that may impede progress
- Inputs various data and records into specific technical documents, using existing or new procedures
- Flexible to undertake such other related duties as directed by the sector lead
Requirements
- Be computer literate, preferably with an ECDL certificate or working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in BMS / HVAC / plant utilities-testing and commissioning or maintenance roles in related fields
- Proficiency and comprehensive understanding of instrumentation in HVAC control systems, including AHU, chillers, FCU, room control, etc
- Must possess a valid driving licence.
Education and Experience
- Possess a minimum of a diploma (level 4) in Electronic Engineering Technology or equivalent qualifications.
