The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading a team of technicians across a manufacturing site. This role ensures the effective execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, equipment installations, and commissioning activities while maintaining compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Operations Manager in developing and integrating technologies and process improvements.
- Lead and manage a team of technicians, fitters, and apprentices, providing coaching, performance management, and professional development.
- Oversee workforce scheduling and resource allocation using the HR Information System.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement focused on product quality, process efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for Brewing, Beer Processing, and Water Treatment facilities.
- Plan and coordinate scheduled maintenance, ensuring timely repairs and efficient spare parts management in the ERP system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns, applying lean maintenance principles to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Occupational Health & Safety, hygiene, quality, and food safety regulations.
- Monitor process data, production performance, and utility consumption to identify opportunities for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Conduct and manage risk assessments, implementing necessary safety measures to protect employees.
- Provide support outside regular working hours for critical equipment failures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience in a technical or maintenance environment.
- Strong expertise in electrical and mechanical maintenance, including manufacturing process automation.
- Experience in project management.
- Excellent organizational and decision-making skills, with the ability to efficiently plan and prioritize tasks.
- Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to provide technical guidance to team members and external contractors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
