Manufacturing Engineering Manager (Day Basis)

A local and well-established client of ours operating within the manufacturing industry, is searching for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to optimise their manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality products while maintaining a strong focus on project management, quality standards, and safety and environmental compliance. Reporting to the COO, your responsibilities will include:

• Assess manufacturing processes for efficiency, speed, and quality.
• Oversee technical workflows and allocate resources effectively.
• Optimise facility layouts, production lines, and machine operations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and minimise delays.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while enhancing product quality.
• Train staff on new and existing processes.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Implement system and process upgrades with new technology.
• Lead and support the Maintenance and Engineering Department’s daily operations, coordinating with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Serve as the point of contact for Government and Regulatory Agencies when required.

Monday - Friday: 07:00 - 16:00 with overtime as needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience in a similar role
• Proven ability to drive employee engagement and development for efficiency and deadlines
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
• Candidates must already be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
• A clean driving license
• Hold an excellent level of written and verbal English, Maltese is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Project management skills in planning, coordination, and execution

Education and Experience

• Hold at least a Degree in Electrical Engineering
