A local and well-established client of ours operating within the manufacturing industry, is searching for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to optimise their manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality products while maintaining a strong focus on project management, quality standards, and safety and environmental compliance. Reporting to the COO, your responsibilities will include:
- Assess manufacturing processes for efficiency, speed, and quality.
- Oversee technical workflows and allocate resources effectively.
- Optimise facility layouts, production lines, and machine operations.
- Troubleshoot production issues and minimise delays.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while enhancing product quality.
- Train staff on new and existing processes.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Implement system and process upgrades with new technology.
- Lead and support the Maintenance and Engineering Department’s daily operations, coordinating with other departments.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Serve as the point of contact for Government and Regulatory Agencies when required.
Monday - Friday: 07:00 - 16:00 with overtime as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience in a similar role
- Proven ability to drive employee engagement and development for efficiency and deadlines
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
- Candidates must already be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
- A clean driving license
- Hold an excellent level of written and verbal English, Maltese is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Project management skills in planning, coordination, and execution
Education and Experience
- Hold at least a Degree in Electrical Engineering
