Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)

Our client is on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer (Building Services) to join their growing team and work on upcoming new projects.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design and supervise the installation of essential building services, including heating, lighting, ventilation, air-conditioning, electrical systems, and more, in new and existing structures.
• Develop and oversee schematic, concept, detailed designs, and the commissioning of building services systems.
• Approve materials and workshop designs to align with contract specifications.
• Support cost management, budget adherence, and lifecycle costing.
• Assist with payment applications, variations, claims, and site-specific equipment design.
• Monitor and maintain building systems, and participate in energy audits.
• Coordinate MEP designs with other project teams.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, professional standards, and codes of practice.
• Manage quality assurance for all building services aspects of the project.

Requirements

• referably possessing LEED/BREEAM accreditation or similar
• proven track record with experience performing building services engineering duties including concept, scheme, plant sizing and detail design across a range of sectors and in projects of high complexity and scale
• Ability to manage projects and design commissions relating to building services including project finance
• A solid understanding of quality assurance, safety and environmental sustainability
• roficiency in the use of AutoCad, and Microsoft Office. Proficiency in BIM and/or other related design and engineering systems as Revit
• ttention to detail, influencing skills, assertiveness and the ability to understand and express technical concepts accurately with confidence and clarity
