Mechanical Engineer

Our client is looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join their growiing team, and the chosen candidate will:

• Create and support MEP designs for minor upgrades to terminal facilities, equipment rooms, and maintenance areas.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to align project objectives and ensure efficient system integration.
• Design, upgrade, and maintain HVAC systems, including ductwork, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems, while ensuring energy efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits to oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
• Maintain detailed records of mechanical project activities, including progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
• Perform inspections and support preventative maintenance efforts to ensure mechanical systems operate efficiently and reliably.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and with various stakeholders

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining an industrial plant or environment
• Experience with green building practices including familiarity with renewable energy integration in HVAC systems
• Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, Revit and HAP
• Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and energy efficiency guidelines
• Conversant with the design installation, and maintenance of advanced HVAC systems
