Quality Assurance Engineer

Our client, a leader in the maritime safety and environment field, is looking for a QA Engineer to join their team. 

Main Responsibilities

• Refine and adapt QA processes to align with industry-standard best practices.
• Create and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (both manual and automated), including regression tests.
• Ensure the efficient and effective implementation of test processes and tools using methods such as White box, Grey Box, Black box, Test-to-Pass, Test-to-Fail, and automation when necessary.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and improve UI automation practices, incorporating modern tools and frameworks into test strategies.
• Investigate and resolve defects in software applications.
• Log defects found during testing in Jira for tracking purposes.
• Perform new functionality and regression tests, identify, and report issues for resolution.
• Work with the business to assess or diagnose problems and recommend solutions.
• Provide support to end users during the User Acceptance Testing phase.
• Maintain strong communication with all stakeholders throughout the SDLC, working closely with them during each phase.

Requirements

• 2 years work experience in QA or a similar role
• Experience in software business analysis or software quality assurance
• Postman, TestRail and Jira experience is a plus
• Knowledge about UI Automation frameworks is a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot issues
• Ability to create test cases
• Excellent team player with the ability to prioritise and carry out multiple tasks
• Ability and willingness to work in a fast paced environement
• You will be required to work 1 day from the gozo office, and the rest of the week from home
