Quality Engineer

Our client in the Manufacturing sector is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer. The chosen candidate will:

• Lead and support cross-functional failure investigations utilizing advanced problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, DMAIC, and FMEA to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Act as a point of contact for customer discussions related to quality failures, ensuring timely, effective, and professional responses, especially in high-priority and high-visibility situations.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze internal quality metrics related to Internal Quality Control, Customer Claims, Supplier Claims (internal and external), and Improvement Initiatives to drive data-driven decisions.
• Lead or support activities related to change management, qualification, and validation processes to ensure that product quality is maintained throughout changes.
• Actively participate in the site's Quality Management System programs to ensure readiness for external audits and maintain necessary certifications (e.g., IATF 16949).
• Identify adverse trends in quality data and develop actionable improvement plans to enhance performance and efficiency across the organization.
• Support the site's IATF 16949 roadmap and CBS (Company Business System) initiatives. Comply with all safety policies, maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and promote a culture of safety and accident prevention.

Education and Experience

• Fundamental understanding of quality engineering and manufacturing principles, including familiarity with concepts such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, GRR, and Fishbone analysis.
• Proficient in leveraging data for decision-making, demonstrating a data-driven approach.
• Excellent communication and fluent in technical report writing in both Mlatese and English.
• Demonstrates full commitment to achieving annual targets at both personal, departmental, and site levels.
