Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is looking to recruit a Supplier Quality Assurance (Authentication) to join their growing team. The chosen candidate will:
- Conduct investigations into internal and external quality issues related to raw materials and customer quality concerns.
- Perform periodic visual inspections and testing of incoming raw materials, maintaining a supplier scoring system.
- Review and maintain records of Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and Certificates of Conformance (CoC) for raw materials.
- Manage an effective quarantine and segregation process for nonconforming raw materials and affected in-process work.
- Support the procurement team by providing accurate information and samples to aid supplier complaint investigations related to defective raw materials.
- Collaborate with external material suppliers on quality-related issues and material improvements, including on-site visits for meetings, investigations, and audits.
- Act as an active member of the internal auditing team for ISO management systems, ensuring timely and scheduled audits.
- Assist in the improvement of quality systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collect statistical data and prepare quality reports for vendor rating assessments.
- Work closely with the Process and R&D departments to address quality and testing process issues related to both existing and new raw materials.
- Communicate and escalate urgent quality concerns to the Head of Department.
Requirements
- Good communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal.
- Able to analyse and develop systems and processes.
- Experience in solving problems & driving improvements utilising data.
- Good in building and implementing systems across the organization
Education and Experience
- Engineering/Science Degree or equivalent in experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience of working within a Supplier Quality Management / Assurance function
- Ideally in possession of a 6-Sigma Green Belt certificate
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- ISO management systems internal Auditor trained
- The use of “8D” responses for corrective and preventive actions
