Managing Director

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to join a startup payments company

here in Malta as Managing Director.

As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction,

managing daily operations, and leading the company's growth initiatives. This role

requires strong managerial skills with deep experience in the payments industry here in

Malta. You will report into the Board of Directors.

Duties include: 

• Develop and execute the company's strategic vision and long-term growth plans in alignment with business goals
• Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
• Identify new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and growth channels to expand the company’s footprint in the payments industry.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring that the company here in Malta runs efficiently and smoothly, meets its goals, and delivers high-quality products and services.
• Oversee the company's budget, financial performance, and profitability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, customers, and regulatory bodies.
• Drive the development of innovative payment solutions that meet customer needs and keep the company at the forefront of industry trends.
• Ensure that the company adheres to regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Candidates must hold around 3 - 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the financial services industry, ideally within the payments industry
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the payments or banking industry
• Candidate must hold extensive experience and knowledge of the payments/banking industry here in Malta
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and drive a diverse team to success

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
