Chief Executive Officer (Insurance)

Our client is a leading Insurance provider in Malta. They are seeking to employ a Chief Executive Officer who will be responsible for leading and controlling all strategic and business aspects of the company, providing strategic direction, and creating a vision for success.

The Role

• You will handle Strategy Development where you will create and align high-quality business strategies and plans with both short-term and long-term objectives
• You will set goals whilst involving and collaborating with the board of directors and executives to establish and implement goals and policies
• Motivate staff, advance employee engagement, and develop a high-performing managerial team
• Ensure all business operational activities align with the company's strategy and mission, producing desired results
• Promote excellence across all company lines, including operations, governance, and customer experience
• Make strategic investment decisions to drive business growth and profitability
• Regularly update the board of directors and staff on company operations
• Enforce adherence to legal guidelines, in-house policies, regulatory requirements, and standards
• Build and maintain relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, particularly the Malta Financial Services Authority
• Represent the company in various industry forums and bodies, enhancing company reputation
• Analyze issues and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
• Maintain deep knowledge of market trends and industry developments

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years as a CEO or GM in Insurance(preferred) or a similar sector role
• Postgraduate or Master's degree in Insurance or Financial Services
• Highly developed leadership and decision-making skills
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategies and operating plans
• Strong communication skills across all organizational levels and with external stakeholders
• Competence in analyzing and interpreting financial data
• Experience in business development and relationship management
