Duty Manager (Hospitality)

  Central Malta  |  €30,000 - €36,000 Annually 

Our client is looking to recruit a Duty Manager. Reporting to the General Manager the chosen candidate will be responsible for:  

  • Maintaining a strong working relationship with all Departments and communicating any variations in an appropriate and timely manner;
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures;
  • Supporting with profitability goals - reports, analysis, planning;
  • Serve as an Ambassador for excellent Customer Care service, empower staff when needed, and interact with guests regularly;
  • Conduct regular inspection tours of the facility for appearance, safety, staffing, security, and maintenance.

WORKING HOURS ON ROSTER BASIS

40 HOURS MONDAY TO SUNDAY

SHIFTS: 08:00 - 15:00 OR 15:00 - 23:00

Requirements

  • Must be flexible to do shift work: Day and Evening Shift
  • A natural leader who is assertive yet approachable
  • Highly customer oriented
  • Excellent problem solver

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience locally in a similar role or a Senior Front Office role within the hospitality sector is a must
  • ITS qualification or similar is given preference.
  • IT Savvy: Proficient level of Word and Excel
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Opera is preferred, however, knowledge of similar softwares is acceptable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Maltese, and English
