Head of Distribution

Our client is seeking to recruit a Head of Distribution, who will play a pivotal role in driving growth and ensuring the seamless integration of our products and services across all distribution channels. This role is central to achieving the company’s strategic objectives and enhancing customer relationships. 

Duties will include but not limited to: 

  • Develop and implement strategies for maximising revenue for all client segments, by developing tailored approaches for different client segments
  •  Develop and implement digital distribution strategies to expand reach and improve efficiency in line with market trends.
  • Liaise with the Product & Distribution Development Manager to ensure we are maximising possibilities for selling our products via all distribution channels, namely, all our staff, salespeople, branches, Tied Insurance Intermediaries, and Brokers
  • Identify product opportunities and threats in the market and create strategies to help the company overcome them
  • Supports partners with ongoing review and consultation on distribution and underwriting performance initiatives.
  • maintains a high profile with key senior executives of clients.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive profile in the industry and with key executive counterparts in client, agent and broker organisations.
  • Works closely with the COs and managers to drive innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision making.
  •  Work with the managers of distribution channels to prepare sales forecasts for short- & long-term planning, oversee sales forecasts by customer groups.
  •  Ownership of the Customer Relationship Management platform.
  • Management of all staff operating the distribution channels, including KPI monitoring of same.
  •  Coordinate the marketing activities related to the specific insurance products within the various distribution channels.
  • Inform and train all distribution channels about their newly developed insurance products and train them on how to upsell, cross-sell and originate new clients.
  • Mentors and trains all insurance staff for sales development. Cultivate and mentor a team of
  • highly driven professionals with entrepreneurial mindsets and are in sync with the organization’s growth targets.
  •  Operationally, coordinating with all stakeholders in Finance, HR, CX, Quality Assurance, Strategy, IT, Marketing and Administration for the execution of related tasks relevant to distribution channels.
  • Ensure the implementation of the relevant QA and CX standards in place for distribution channels.
  • Ability to recommend enhancements to optimize customer experience.
  • Support company objectives by providing ongoing analysis and results monitoring aligned with company strategic plan.
  •  Analyse and review financial results, product profitability, business mix and competitive information and forecast performance.
  •  Participates on committees as a subject matter expert for distribution channels.
  • Participates in quarterly Board meetings to report on revenue, profitability, planning and business development results.
  • Consults with leaders and internal partners about analysis, ideas, innovation and business performance.
  • Support in the design of processes to simplify insurance acquisition for small businesses and individuals.

  • Candidate must hold experience within a similar role
  • Experience within the insurance industry is required for this role
