Our client, a worldwide leader in trusted identity solutions, is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operations Manager to join their team. This role involves providing both tactical and strategic direction to ensure that customer requirements are understood and met while achieving established goals and objectives. You will need to maintain a professional demeanour while supporting and coordinating activities across various departments. Additionally, you will be accountable for ensuring that the operations team meets the company’s safety, quality, and cost objectives. The Operations Manager reports to the Director of Operations in Malta and is responsible for overseeing the Operations Team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team for the Malta site.
- Lead a team of Front Line Managers and employees.
- Ensure all Managers understand how their work contributes to meeting customer expectations and driving business objectives.
- Collaborate daily with local and global functional groups to identify customer needs and operational improvements, sharing best practices and resources across sites.
- Prepare and manage budgets for assigned operational areas.
- Monitor safety incident rates, ensuring every employee understands their role in maintaining a safe workplace. Proactively identify and address unsafe conditions and behaviors.
- Participate in establishing local procedures in alignment with global policies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, trade, and government requirements, as well as company policies.
- Implement a system to track and record customer value delivery, using metrics to enhance efficiency and achieve cost savings.
- Conduct staff and other necessary meetings.

Requirements
- Preferred experience in Six Sigma, Kaizen or lean manufacturing within a Manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated management experience of at least 3-5 years.
- Proficient in Maltese and English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, and international technical standards.
- Strong results-oriented mindset and commitment to success.
- Capable of driving change and flexible in problem-solving approaches.
- Excellent analytical and project management abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
