Our client, located in Gozo, is seeking an HSE Officer to join their team at their manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor health, safety, environmental, and energy operations per group and local standard.
Serve as the primary contact for employees and supervisors on safety-related matters, providing clear guidelines and training.
Conduct risk management activities, industrial hygiene assessments, and safety culture audits (including facilities and processes).
Prepare reports and assist in HSE compliance audits in preparation for ISO14001, ISO50001, and ISO45001 certifications.
Plan and manage emergency responses, investigate incidents and near-misses.
Monitor, and revise roadmaps for HSE and sustainability projects; identify improvement areas and assist in setting goals.
Use digital HSEE tools to improve efficiency and engage employees.
Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports per Plant and Corporate standards.
Help create and implement safe work processes, contributing to HSE performance goals.
Manage stock levels of PPE and other HSE items.
Follow and enforce HSE, Sustainability, and HES guidelines, adhering to company policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies.
Perform other duties as requested by management and act in accordance with the Total Code of Conduct.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience within the Health and Safety Department
MQF Level 4 Education
Knowledge of audits and ISO standards
Solid understanding of Health and Safety regulations
Fluent in verbal and written English, Maltese would be an asset
