Chef de Partie

  Central Malta  |  €30,000 - €34,500 Annually 

Our Client, operating in the Hospitality Industry is seeking a skilled and passionate culinary professional to join their high-end fast-paced restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service. Reporting to the Head Chef, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's standards and menu specifications.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of special events and private dining experiences.
  • Ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours, maintaining high standards of food presentation and taste.

Working hours: Monday to Sunday on a roster basis, with two days off.

Requirements

  • Candidates must already be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
  • At least 3 years of local experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a high-end restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Hold and excellent level of written and verbal English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage kitchen staff.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Education and Experience

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training is preferred.
