We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Event Coordinator to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external events. This role will focus on providing support to senior management and ensuring smooth event operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, a passion for events, and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning and coordination of events such as meetings, conferences, and special events at the venue.
- Support senior management by handling administrative tasks, scheduling, and logistics for events.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, ensuring their event needs are understood and supported.
- Coordinate with vendors for event services, ensuring timely delivery of services and supplies.
- Help set up, break down, and ensure smooth execution of event operations.
- Monitor event budgets and assist in tracking expenses to ensure they are within the allocated budget.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations during events.
- Provide general support to the Venue Manager and assist with day-to-day operations.
- Assist with marketing coordination efforts for events, including social media support and promoting events to attract new clients.
Requirements
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with event planning tools and software is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
- A customer service mindset with the ability to handle challenges professionally.
Education and Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in events, hospitality, catering or a similar role will be considered an asset.
