Our client, operating in the Food & Beverage industry, is looking for a Restaurant Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the Junior Operations Manager and Operations Manager general duties will include:
- In charge of overseeing the operations of the restaurant, including maintaining optimal food and beverage service, productivity, and staffing levels.
- Effectively managing all staff, providing continuous on-the-job training to enhance customer satisfaction and boost sales.
- Ensuring a harmonious relationship between the kitchen and service staff.
- Assisting in the administration of the Restaurant POS system, keeping prices updated in both the system and menus, while also ensuring the timely updating and presentation of all restaurant collateral.
- Staying informed about evolving market trends and proposing improvements or changes to the outlet when opportunities arise.
- Maintaining a visible and accessible presence for both guests and staff. Taking complete responsibility for the restaurant, encompassing financial performance, operational efficiency, and health and safety.
- Evaluating feedback from guests comprehensively, pinpointing areas requiring improvement, and devising corresponding solutions.
- Overseeing the performance of all direct reports, providing regular feedback and intervening proactively to prevent conflicts or challenges.
- Conducting daily walkabouts to assess standards, service quality, and overall performance.
- Collaborating closely with managers from other outlets as necessary to optimise cooperation between restaurants.
- Delegating and assigning duties to staff as required.
- Establishing monthly objectives for the restaurant, in addition to ongoing job responsibilities.
Working hours are Monday - Sunday on a roster basis.
Requirements
- Proven local work experience in a Management role within F&B is a must.
- Previous experience in an a la carte setting is a must.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the establishment's hours of operation.
- Possess a valid Food Handlers License.
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills.
- Currently based in Malta
Education and Experience
- Qualification in hospitality management of equivalent will be considered as an asset
