Our client, a leading Manufacturing company, is looking to onboard an HR Officer to join their growing team. Reporting to the HR Manager, the chosen candidate will be responsible for:
- Oversee the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing candidates to onboarding.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and fill vacancies efficiently.
- Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and make hiring recommendations.
- Handle the processing and management of work permits for third-country national employees.
- Ensure all documentation and processes meet legal and regulatory standards
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes.
- Support managers in conducting performance reviews, setting goals, and providing feedback
- Create and implement comprehensive onboarding plans to ensure smooth integration of new employees.
- Coordinate with various departments to facilitate the onboarding process and ensure employees have the necessary tools and information.
- Maintain and update employee records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of employment contracts, work permits, and other relevant files
- Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on conflict resolution and policy adherence.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives, programs, and systems to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Collaborate on projects related to employee engagement, development, and retention.
- Provide counseling and advice to employees and management on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Act as a point of contact for employees seeking guidance on workplace policies
- Regularly review employment and working conditions to ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
- Advise management on any necessary updates or changes to ensure legal compliance.

Education and Experience
- Diploma Level in Human Resources Management or other similar fields such as Business Administration and/or Psychology.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications particularly in MS Excel.
- Experience in a similar position with good knowledge of HR functions is a MUST
- Good knowledge of labor laws and disciplinary procedures.
- Excellent writing skills in English and Maltese.
