Human Resources Manager

  South of Malta  |  up to €55,000 Annually 

As a Senior Human Resources Manager to the site, responsible for providing comprehensive HR support and guidance on-site. Collaborate with the Plant Manager and HR Directors to implement the HR strategy and key change initiatives, integrating them into the site plan. Manage the performance of direct reports, offering regular feedback, appraisals, and coaching to maximize their performance and development.

Serve as the site's HR representative, acting as a key member of the leadership team and overseeing all people-related activities. Take full responsibility for employee relations, establishing a strong working relationship with the collective body, including managing collective pay negotiations.

Provide coaching and mentoring to managers, helping them navigate HR challenges and improve business performance. Identify development needs and work with the Centre for Learning to deliver effective training and development solutions. Lead HR processes such as Pay Review and Talent Review, continually improving HR practices.

Oversee all recruitment activities, supporting the Head of HR Operations in crafting a long-term attraction and retention strategy. Manage reward activities, including Job Evaluation, Recognition, and HR Systems, in coordination with the central reward team to ensure consistency and best practices.

Foster a culture of employee engagement aligned with the HR strategy, overseeing initiatives such as Employee Survey action plans. Ensure internal communications are tailored to the site's needs and lead in implementing site-specific communications.

Additionally, ensure compliance with all De La Rue company guidelines and policies, and fully engage in the performance development review (PDR) process.

Requirements

  • Understanding of relevant employment legislation for regions of responsibility and knowledge of best practice and ability to translate knowledge into workable and commercial solutions.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest level in order to develop excellent stakeholder relationships.
  • Highly organized, with the capability to manage and prioritize a demanding workload.

Education and Experience

  • Degree level of education in a relevant field.
  • Extensive experience in handling all HR functions, including grievances, disciplinary procedures, absence management, consultations, employee relations, recruitment, training, compensation and benefits, and talent management.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of HR professionals.
