Human Resources Officer

  South of Malta  |  €22,000 - €25,000 Annually 

Our client is seeking an Human Resources Officer to join their team, responsible for providing overall administrative support across all functions and processes within the HR department.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, update, and maintain the Human Resources Information System and all HR records, ensuring accurate personnel information.
  • Support management in administering the HR policy framework and providing general guidance to employees and management on HR policies and procedures.
  • Draft, maintain, evaluate, and update position descriptions and profiles.
  • Provide administrative support for the performance management system and assist in specialised HR projects as needed.
  • Coordinate and support recruitment and selection processes, from vacancy identification and job posting to onboarding, including maintaining recruitment databases.
  • Prepare, issue, and renew employment contracts, and manage the administrative process for employee exits.
  • Assist with training and development activities, including coordinating training plans, organising logistics, and managing related processes.
  • Prepare and compile reports on time and attendance, recruitment, and other HR data for both internal use and submission to the finance department.
  • Acquire work permits and liaise with government departments as necessary.
  • Substitute for HR team members as needed and handle administrative tasks like scanning, photocopying, binding, and managing stationery.
  • Perform such other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.  

Requirements:

  • MQF Level 4 qualification or higher in HR, psychology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
  • Detail-oriented, assertive, tactful, and courteous.
  • Highly organised with strong multitasking and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications with a solid understanding of Maltese employment law.
  • Able to work under pressure, independently, and eager to learn.
  • Outgoing personality and enjoys engaging with people.
